The Calgary Flames continue to listen to calls, as the rebuild continues

Hello Hockey: David Pagnotta on the Calgary Flames, who continue to get calls on some of their players, and could be one of the teams that makes another trade this offseason.

    ** NHLRumors.com transcription

Pagnotta: “Calgary, it’s, it’s, I mean, rebuild mode. I think, I missed the beginning of what you guys were chatting about on the Flames. But I don’t think it’s any secret that they’re going through this process, and they’re going to continue to listen on a lot of their guys.

Morgan Frost‘s name still out there. They have others they’re willing to listen on. There are teams interested in (Zach) Whitecloud still, and so on and so on. So this is going to be an interesting summer, I think.

I think we’ll see sporadic movement, you know, starting maybe next week, maybe a little bit after next week, after like some of the free agents start to find their new homes that are still available. And then we’ll see kind of like random moves happen throughout the summer.

NHL Rumors: Montreal Canadiens, Kirby Dach, and Sam Montembeault

And it wouldn’t surprise me if Calgary gets in on, on you know some of that action with, with what’s going on with them in the direction they’re going. And, and you know the (Blake) Coleman move was kind of anticipated. You know, we talked about this before that, that they were, you know, actively looking to move him. Dallas was a key destination, but with their financials, it just didn’t make sense to, to be able to pull that off. So he goes to Minnie, and and has a good opportunity there to chase a cup.

So, I think they’re going to continue to take calls and get engaged in in some convers, some random conversations throughout the summer. I mean, guys are starting to go away to the cottage and whatnot. But with, with how things have gone in the first or well, I guess the first week, but also in, in the last couple of weeks, as much as guys are going to be, you know, posting up on the dock or something like that, they’re also going to still have their phones readily available.
