Could Hellebuyck convince the New Jersey Devils to add Robby Fabbri?
Frank Seravalli of Sportsnet: Connor Hellebuyck had been training with Robby Fabbri as he awaited a trade. Could he suggest Fabbri to the New Jersey Devils as a way to replace some of Dawson Mercer‘s scoring?
The Washington Capitals want a first for Ivan Miroshnichenko, and prefer him out West
The Fourth Period: Washington Capitals forward Ivan Miroshnichenko has permission to seek a trade, and Jeff Marek has said that Capitals asking price is “at least a first-round pick.” He’s getting interest from the Chicago Blackhawks and teams in the Pacific division, according to David Pagnotta, who adds:
NHL Rumors: New Jersey Devils, Minnesota Wild, and the Carolina Hurricanes
“The Philadelphia Flyers have checked in on him, but I don’t think there’s a fit there. I think Washington, to your point, wants him out of the East, especially out of the division. I think a few other Eastern teams have checked in as well. But Vancouver, Seattle, L.A., Calgary, I think among the teams that are poking around on him to try to see if they can make something work.”
The 22-year-old Miroshnichenko has another year left on his contract at $925,000. He’s only got into three games this season and has 55 career games – six goals and 14 points.
A Costco of firsts offered for Dylan Larkin, and San Jose Sharks have held substantive talks about Simon Edvinsson
Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet: The Montreal Canadiens, Buffalo Sabres, and St. Louis Blues would love to get in on the Dylan Larkin trade conversations. The Minnesota Wild have offered Danila Yurov, another veteran player and a ‘Costco of firsts.’ The Carolina Hurricanes would be a perfect fit, but don’t see them paying the ask.
Among the teams showing some interest in Simon Edvinsson are the Boston Bruins (less talk lately), Nashville Predators, St. Louis Blues, San Jose Sharks, and the Seattle Kraken. The Sharks and Red Wings have held substantive talks, and one serious offer rejected by the Wings. Believe the Wings asked the Bruins, Predators, Sharks and Kraken for centers, not sure about the Blues.
Dylan Larkin’s List Hasn’t Expanded, and Simon Edvinsson Getting Terms but Not the Money
Believe the Carolina Hurricanes threatened an Edvinsson offer sheet around July 1st, that involved the twist of trading him to a third team. No indication this was revisited after Steve Yzerman left.
