Katelynn Ordon is celebrating her husband, Jaelan Ordone, on Father’s Day after the death of their 2-year-old son, Preston, known as “Okay Baby” online.

“Happy Father’s Day to the best daddy out there,” Katelynn wrote via Instagram on Sunday, June 15, alongside a montage of videos showing her husband with their late toddler and their surviving daughter, Paisley. “No holiday will ever feel the same without our Preston, but all he ever knew was love from his daddy. We may not understand now but we will see him again one day.”

In one video, the couple’s late toddler wishes his dad a Happy Father’s Day while in bed. In another, the father and son duo are seen brushing their teeth. In yet another, Jaelan is seen holding his son when he was an infant.

“I’ll never understand why Preston couldn’t be here with us today,” Katelynn wrote on the video upload itself. “But one thing I am sure of is… you are the best daddy in the world. Preston and Paisley have and always will be proud of their dad. Happy Father’s Day.”

The Ordone family rose to TikTok fame in August 2024, after Preston became known as the “Okay Baby” for cheerfully replying to his parents before hilariously defying their rules. On April 27, family friends of Katelynn and Jaelan broke the news of Preston’s death following a car accident. The parents were also in the vehicle at the time of the crash, which occurred while their 7-year-old daughter was at school.

In May, Us Weekly confirmed the toddler’s cause of death to be “blunt force injuries due to a motor vehicle crash.” The St. Tammany Parish coroner’s office categorized the child’s death as accidental.

“Hey guys, this is Katelynn. I am Preston’s mom, and I wanted to try to come on here and give y’all an update, because I have been hearing about all the love and support that y’all have been giving, and it means so much to us in a time like this,” Ordone shared via Instagram two days later, on April 29. “Just a little bit of a story, I don’t even know how I’m gonna put this video together.”

Katelynn went on to explain that she was discharged from the hospital one day after the accident, on April 28, while her husband remained in the hospital for extended treatment. In order to stay close to her husband while he healed, the family purchased an AirBnb.

“I think we all are trying … none of us really understand why or how this could happen, but y’all’s support has made a big difference in a lot of this,” she continued. “And I may not be able to watch everything, I may not be able to reply to every comment, because it’s really hard for me to look at it. But I’m still seeing some things in here, how much you’ll love them, and it means a lot.”

The mom captioned the post, “It’s very hard for me to gather my thoughts right now but I really wanted everyone to know I truly appreciate the support during this incredibly difficult time.”

Katelynn also shared a touching video of Preston before his death via her Instagram Story on April 30.

“I’ll never understand why God took you from me,” she captioned the post. “I will miss you and love you for the rest of my life.”
