Hilaria Baldwin has broken her silence on husband Alec Baldwin and brother-in-law Stephen Baldwin’s car accident.
“Hey, I’m getting a lot of messages about the accident that Alec was in today, the car accident, and I just want you to know he’s OK,” Hilaria, 41, said in a video shared via Instagram on Monday, October 13. “Stephen is OK. Everybody is OK. No one was hurt, and that is the most important thing.”
Hilaria concluded the video by blowing viewers a kiss and adding, “So I love you, and thank you, thank you, thank you for caring.”
In the caption, she added, “Thank you for checking in. Alec is ok 🩷. Be safe to all of you 🤍.”
Fans sent love to the Baldwin family in the comments section.
“Thank god 🙏🙏they had guardian angels watching over them,” one user wrote, while another person added, “So sorry to hear that and I’m glad everyone is ok. How scary and stressful!”
“I’m so glad they are ok. Bless you whole Baldwin tribe. ❤️,” a third fan commented.
Alec, 67, and Stephen, 59, were driving in East Hampton, New York, on Monday when their Range Rover crashed head-first into a tree, East Hampton Town Police Department Chief of Police Michael D. Sarlo confirmed to Us Weekly on Tuesday, October 14.
“A white 2023 Range Rover, operated by Alec Baldwin, with passenger Stephen Baldwin, was found to have struck a tree on the Eastbound shoulder of the roadway while avoiding the turning action of a 2020 Mack commercial truck, registered to National Waste Services out of Bay Shore, NY,” Sarlo said in a statement. “There were no injuries reported or summons issued and the contributing factors to the accident were found to be a reaction to an uninvolved vehicle and the slippery and wet roadway conditions.”

Alec addressed the accident and shared what happened in a video on his Instagram page on Monday.
“I was in a car accident this morning. I’m fine, my brother Stephen was visiting me on Long Island. We spent the weekend out there for the [Buffalo] film festival,” he explained. “A guy cut me off, a big garbage truck, a garbage truck the size of a whale. I’ve never seen a garbage truck that big. It must have been for something commercial, like taking away material from construction or something.”
Alec continued, “Anyway, I won’t go into the details now, I’m boring you. But to avoid hitting him, I hit a tree, I hit a big fat tree. I crushed my car. My wife’s car. I crushed my wife’s car. I feel bad about that. But it’s all fine, I’m fine, my brother’s fine and boppity bop.”
Alex thanked the East Hampton police for being “nice as can be” to him and Stephen after the accident. He also gave a shout-out to Officer Gerken for coming to his “aid” and helping him file a report at the time of the crash.
“My wife’s car is pretty smashed up. Big fat tree,” he added.
Alec was enthusiastic as he shared his upcoming plans, telling viewers, “I’m going to L.A. to see my family. Can’t wait. I’m going out to California to see my family, going to spend a few days out there to gather my family and then come home.”
Alec even gave Hilaria a shout-out after her stint on Dancing With the Stars season 34 came to an end on October 7.
“I love you more than anything and I’m very proud of you,” he said, once again telling his followers, “I’m fine!”
Meanwhile, a rep for Stephen told Us in a statement that he is also “doing fine and is grateful no one was injured. He appreciates the concern and he can confirm that he and Alec are both safe and well.”
