Ioan Gruffudd and his wife Bianca have announced they’ve welcomed their first child together.
The couple shared a joint post via Instagram on Thursday, November 27 to share news of the birth of their daughter, who they named Mila Mae.
“November was a biggie… 💝,” Ioan, 52, and Bianca, 33, wrote in the caption, revealing Mila Mae was born on November 2, a month earlier than the baby’s due date of December 2.
“Bubba Bear and Rocky: Absolutely smitten,” the caption continued. “Daddy & Mummy: Completely and totally in love with our tiny little angel 🩷🪽”
The couple concluded, “Extremely grateful this thanksgiving 🙏”
While it’s the first child for Ioan and Bianca together, the Fantastic Four actor also shares two daughters, Ella, 16, and Elsie, 12, with his ex-wife Alice Evans, 57.
Ioan and Bianca announced they were expecting in June, with Bianca sharing a black-and-white photo of Ioan kissing her pregnant belly via Instagram.
“Baby Gruffudd poppin’ out to say hello! 🤍,” she captioned the post at the time.
Just two months prior to the pregnancy announcement, Ioan and Biance shared that they had tied the knot.
“Mr & Mrs Gruffudd 💘. Marriage now, wedding later 💐,” the captioned a joint Instagram post on April 25.
The pair first made their relationship public in October 2021. Three years after sparking up a romance, Ioan and Bianca announced their engagement.
“The most precious thing happened… ❤️💍,” Biance shared via a gushing Instagram post in January 2024. In the post, Bianca gave a glimpse of her engagement ring and share details of the proposal, divulging that it “was a super adorable shock 💚💫🤍.”
The couple’s relationship came after the Titanic actor was embroiled in a messy split with his ex, Evans.
Ioan filed for divorce from Evans in March 2021 after 14 years of marriage.
“As you can imagine, this is an incredibly difficult time for our family and we remain committed to our children,” Ioan and Evans told Us Weekly in a joint statement at the time. “Thank you for respecting our privacy.”

Ioan and Evans have since engaged in legal back-and-forths over the years following their bitter separation.
Meanwhile, Ioan has spoken positively about Bianca in rare public comments over the years, including thanking her for making him “smile again” when he confirmed their relationship via an Instagram post in October 2021.
Bianca has also praised Ioan for supporting her during her health battle as she grapples with her multiple sclerosis (MS) diagnosis.
“Look, it’s not an easy illness. I’m more proud of the partners. I feel more sorry to the partners of people with MS because for us you have to face it, you genuinely don’t know what it’s going to be like,” Bianca told The Daily Mail at an MS fundraiser in May 2022. “But when you’ve got an amazing support system, everything’s different, everything changes. I feel very lucky to be with someone so supportive. It’s amazing, I haven’t had this before. To have someone who is understanding is incredible.”
