Jordyn Woods and her boyfriend, Karl-Anthony Towns, are engaged after five years together.
“Marry Christmas 🎄❤️💍,” Woods, 28, wrote via Instagram on Thursday, December 25, sharing photos of Towns, 30, down on bended knee on a balcony.
The model and the NBA player were friends for years before their relationship turned romantic in May 2020. They went public in September 2020, making things Instagram official.
“Me and Jordyn met years ago knowing common people and just became friends,” Towns explained on Woods’ Instagram series Regular-ish in 2021. “And ever since then, our relationship grew where we became more than friends. I’m not saying [it] in that way, but just best friends. And then we started having a deeper relationship.”

He added: “It just so happened, Covid came and kind of brought its challenges and it kind of forced us to either pick where our relationship was going to go as friends or something more. And we chose the latter.”
In November 2023, Woods opened up about the longevity of her relationship with Towns, attributing their success to the “friendship and trust” they have shared since before they became a couple.
“We were really good friends before we started dating, and Covid gave us that free time in our life to really get to know each other because a lot of people don’t really get to know each other and they go into this relationship,” she told People at the time.

Woods elaborated that the difficult periods in their lives allowed them to grow together. “So, we’ve been through a lot together,” she continued. “We’ve seen each other at all different ways, times, phases, so I think we have a very strong foundation.”
Towns, for his part, noted in a February 2024 interview with People that Woods’ support “on a daily basis” — whether in correlation to his basketball career or not — “is truly special to me.”
He added: “You know, with my mom and my sister, I’ve seen the impact that good women have on men’s lives, and I’m just blessed that I saw that firsthand before I got with Jordyn so that I could learn to appreciate her.”
Towns previously hinted that an engagement was in the duo’s future when he shut down naysayers in March 2021, writing via X at the time, “Same haters we got now are gonna be the same ones we have when I put that ring on her finger.”
