AC Milan claimed their first win of Massimiliano Allegri’s second spell in charge of the club as they beat Lecce 2-0.

Stunned by newly promoted Cremonese in their opener at San Siro, the Rossoneri saw two goals disallowed at Stadio Via del mare.

Matteo Gabbia had a goal chalked off in the fourth minute for a foul after a VAR check, and Santiago Gimenez’s 60th-minute effort was ruled out for offside following a review.

But Milan’s persistence paid off six minutes later when Ruben Loftus-Cheek headed home Luka Madrid’s free-kick delivery.

And Christian Pulisic made sure of the points four minutes from the end of normal time when he slotted in after Lecce failed to deal with a long ball.

Meanwhile, Cremonese continued their dream start to life in Serie A, moving top of the embryonic table with a 3-2 win over Sassuolo.

Manuel de Luca’s 93rd-minute penalty gave Cremonese all three points after Sassuolo had erased a two-goal deficit.

    Hamburg 0-2 St. Pauli

Following their long-awaited promotion back to the Bundesliga last season, Hamburg’s first home game of the campaign saw them face St. Pauli in the first top-flight derby between the sides for 14 years.

But it did not go to plan for the six-time German champions as St. Pauli claimed the bragging rights.

Adam Dzwigala put the visitors ahead in the 19th minute when he turned home at the near post following a short corner routine.

Mathias Pereira Lage was the architect of that opener, but he missed a golden chance to double the lead late in the first half, firing wide at the end of an excellent move.

It looked as if he had been punished when Ransford Konigsdorffer fired in three minutes into the second half, only for his effort to be disallowed for offside by VAR.

And St. Pauli doubled their lead 12 minutes later through when Andreas Hountondji, who slotted in from a tight angle after rounding the goalkeeper. Giorgi Gocholeishvili was sent off for a second bookable offence 13 minutes from time as Hamburg finished with 10 men.

    Valencia 3-0 Getafe

Getafe had the chance to make it three wins from three in LaLiga and go top of the table, but they were well beaten at Mestalla by Valencia.

Mouctar Diakhaby put Valencia ahead on the half hour, taking advantage of awful marking to head home.

Arnaut Danjuma bent home a second in the 54th minute before Largie Ramazani marked his debut by squaring for Hugo Duro to round off the win.

Elsewhere in LaLiga, Elche continued their unbeaten start, beating Levante 2-0 to claim their first win of the campaign after opening with successive draws.
