Sofia Richie and Elliot Grainge had a laugh while addressing “mean” comments about their marriage.
The couple shared a TikTok video earlier this month where Richie, 26, recorded her reaction as Grainge, 31, read speculative statements about their relationship.
“That? Cheating on her?” Grainge read before responding, “What am I, Shrek?”
Richie and Grainge both laughed before poking fun at another comment, which read, “She should divorce him and take his child support money.”
The model used the caption to clarify that the video was all in good fun. “I had to break it to my husband that he’s not the peoples princess,” Richie joked.
Richie and Grainge, who share 12-month-old daughter Eloise, appeared unbothered while weighing in on rumors about their marriage. Richie has used social media to offer a glimpse into their dynamic after they started dating in 2021.
The duo were initially friends before sparking romance rumors.
“They started out as friends before they became a couple, and are now getting serious,” an insider exclusively told Us Weekly in April 2021. “Their relationship took off and they have been getting closer and closer and spend practically every day together.”
After one year of dating, Richie and Grainge got engaged and then tied the knot in April 2023. Sofia’s dad, Lionel Richie, previously revealed how Grainge asked for his blessing before he proposed.
“He was a nervous wreck, poor guy,” Lionel, 75, joked to Access Hollywood in April 2022. “I thought he was going to pass out, but he survived it. I was going to rib him a little bit, but I didn’t want to play, he was going to faint.”

Lionel crooner added that he’s known his now-son-in-law since Grainge was 12. “It’s one of those things where I don’t have to go back and check out the kid, I know who he is,” he explained. “They’re so happy. And as a papa and as a dad, you know, that’s my little girl. So, she’s in good hands.”
More than a year after their nuptials, Sofia and Grainge welcomed daughter Eloise in May 2024.
“My life makes sense now,” Sofia said about motherhood during a November 2024 episode of the “Therapuss” podcast. “I’ve never loved anything more in my life. I’m obsessed with her, she’s perfect. And I’ve lost 50 pounds.”
Sofia elaborated on her pregnancy journey, adding, “It was beautiful. This is the thing I always tell my friends, I’m like, ‘Oh, it got crazy.’ But I was always empowered. The entire way. I was like, ‘I am unbelievable that I can do this.’”
