Andy Cohen is celebrating 20 years of The Real Housewives franchise with a new spinoff series, Ultimate Road Trip, which he announced during the “Ask Andy” panel at BravoCon 2025.
The cross-country trip will honor two decades of the most iconic women on television while gearing up for the next era of the Housewives. While no official release date has been announced just yet, the show is set to hit Bravo next year. As for the cast? That hasn’t been finalized just yet but the show will feature a group of beloved Housewives from the franchises’ past as they hit up some of the most memorable locations from The Real Housewives over the years.
The trip is set to start out in Orange County, to celebrate the first Real Housewives franchise and end on the East Coast. There will absolutely be several stops along the way. Frances Berwick, Chairman of Bravo and Peacock Unscripted shared a statement about the upcoming series on Sunday, November 16.
“For two decades, The Real Housewives has amplified women’s voices, spotlighted their ambition, humor, and strength, inspiring millions with their unapologetic authenticity,” Berwick said. “The Real Housewives: Ultimate Road Trip is a love letter to the women who turned a reality television show into a cultural phenomenon — and the fans who’ve been there for every laugh, gasp, toast, and table turn.”
This is hardly the first Real Housewives spinoff franchise to hit Bravo. The Real Housewives: Ultimate Road Trip comes follows the success of the The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip spinoff series, which premiered in November 2021. Season 1 followed Real Housewives stars Cynthia Bailey, Teresa Giudice, Melissa Gorga, Luann de Lesseps, Kenya Moore, Kyle Richards and Ramona Singer during their vacation to Turks and Caicos.
When season 2 kicked off in June 2022, a new cast made up of former Housewives — Taylor Armstrong, Brandi Glanville, Vicki Gunvalson, Tamra Judge, Eva Marcille, Dorinda Medley, Phaedra Parks and Jill Zarin — traveled to Medley’s Blue Stone Manor in Massachusetts. The second season earned the subtitle of “Ex-Wives Club” since the Housewives involved were no longer in the casts of their original shows.
Season 3 — which debuted in March 2023 — saw Gizelle Bryant, Candiace Dillard Bassett, Leah McSweeney, Heather Gay, Whitney Rose, Porsha Williams, Alexia Nepola and Marysol Patton venturing to Thailand.
The fourth season premiered in December 2023, featuring The Real Housewives of New York City alums de Lesseps, Singer, Medley, Kelly Bensimon, Sonja Morgan and Kristen Taekman on a trip to Saint Barthélemy.
There has been a longstanding rumor that RHONY Legacy episodes are were initially filmed for a season 5 of Ultimate Girls Trip. However, after an alleged sexual harassment incident involving Caroline Manzo and Brandi Glanville while shooting the original fourth season in Morocco, RHONY Legacy took the place of Ex-Wives Club 2 — which also starred Gunvalson, Parks, Marcille, Gretchen Rossi, Camille Grammer and Alex McCord — on the schedule.
In a January 2024 lawsuit obtained by Us Weekly, Manzo accused Bravo and its production companies of pushing the show’s stars to drink alcohol to “cause them to become severely intoxicated, and then direct, encourage and/or allow them to sexually harass other cast members because that is good for ratings.”
Glanville allegedly kissed and touched Manzo multiple times without her consent while “clearly intoxicated,” though Glanville was not listed as a defendant in the case.
“Sadly, Brandi had to wake up to yet another lawsuit that includes defamatory, false accusations about her,” Glanville’s legal team said in a statement to Us in January 2024. “While filming, Brandi followed what the producers asked of her, and there was no sexual assault. She is innocent of these absurd accusations that have weighed on her mental and physical health for far too long without a word of support from Peacock, Shed or Bravo.”
The statement added: “This painful storytelling seems endless and needs to stop. She is looking to move on and upward and get her life back.”
In April 2024, Ultimate Girls Trip producer Lisa Shannon responded to Manzo’s lawsuit, claiming in court documents obtained by Entertainment Tonight that Manzo “told us that she did not feel sexually violated, she felt ‘disrespected’ by Glanville.”
“Our primary concern at that point was making sure that Manzo felt safe,” Shannon alleged in the court documents. “She told us that she felt safe, that she wanted to continue to film, and that she did not want Glanville to be sent home.”
Details about the future of RHONY were not announced at BravoCon 2025. However, Cohen did tell the crowd that “we’re close” to sharing details about the future of the franchise.
