Man City to face Liverpool as Chelsea host Port Vale

The FA Cup quarter-final draw has been confirmed with Arsenal, Manchester City and Liverpool discovering their opponents

Manchester City will face Liverpool in a blockbuster FA Cup quarter-final clash, with Chelsea drawn at home to giant-killers Port Vale.

Premier League leaders Arsenal have another favourable tie away at Championship Southampton, with the winner of West Ham versus Brentford on Monday night taking on top-flight rivals Leeds.

The biggest heavyweight tie is undoubtedly Man City against Liverpool as two clubs with 13 combined FA Cup triumphs face off at the Etihad with both desperate to end the season with some more silverware. City came from behind to see off Newcastle 3-1 with Liverpool beating Wolves by the same scoreline last Friday.

But perhaps the most exciting match-up sees Port Vale of League One, who stunned Sunderland 1-0 to reach the quarter-finals for the first time since 1954, as they travel to Premier League giants Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. The Blues reached the last eight by beating Wrexham 4-2 on Saturday.

Arsenal’s pursuit of the FA Cup after knocking out Mansfield sees them come up against another lower-league opposition once again as they visit Southampton, who dumped out Premier League Fulham in the fifth round.

West Ham take on Brentford at the London Stadium this evening, and the reward for the winning side will be another all-Premier League tie against Leeds, who beat Norwich 3-0 in the fifth round.

FA Cup quarter-final draw in full:

    • Southampton v Arsenal
    • Chelsea v Port Vale
    • Manchester City v Liverpool
    • West Ham or Brentford v Leeds
