    Bundesliga

In a thrilling clash in the Bundesliga, recently-crowned champions Bayern came from three goals down against Mainz to win 4-3.

Dominik Kohr, Paul Nebel and Sheraldo Becker put the hosts in a commanding position going into the break at the Mewa Arena.

However, second-half goals from Nicolas Jackson, Michael Olise, Jamal Musiala and Harry Kane turned the game on its head to move Vincent Kompany’s title winners 18 points clear of second-placed Borussia Dortmund.

Meanwhile, Leverkusen’s hopes of securing a European place for next season was given a boost as they beat Koln 2-1 courtesy of a Patrik Schick brace.

The Czech striker netted first from the penalty spot before scoring again after the break to secure the victory despite Luca Waldschmidt pulling one back with less than 15 minutes remaining.

    Ligue 1

After Lens were held to a draw on Friday, PSG had the opportunity to open up a six-point lead at the top of Ligue 1, which they took full advantage of, comfortably beating Angers 3-0 despite ending the game a player down.

Kang-in Lee opened the scoring for the French champions, with Senny Mayulu doubling the advantage.

Lucas Beraldo added a third before Goncalo Ramos was sent off with just over a quarter of an hour remaining.

Lyon overcame Auxerre in their bid to chase down second-placed Lens, courtesy of a Roman Yaremchuk brace and Corentin Tolisso goal in a 3-2 win.

Sinaly Diomande and Bryan Okoh netted for Auxerre.

    La Liga

With Barcelona’s victory all but securing them the LaLiga title, Atletico Madrid were hoping to make ground on third-placed Villarreal and did so following a 3-1 win over Athletic Club.

Aitor Paredes gave Atheltic the lead but second-half goals from Antoine Griezmann and an Alexander Sorloth double turned the tie on its head.

Gorka Guruzeta pulled one back late on but it was too late for Athletic.

Elsewhere, Valencia beat Girona 2-1, while Alavez overcame Mallorca by the same scoreline.

    Serie A

In the Italian top-flight, Roma continued their push to secure a European spot for next season with a 2-0 win over Bologna at Renato Dall’Ara Stadium.

Aston Villa loanee Donyell Malen opened the scoring for the visitors after just seven minutes, finishing well after being found in the box.

The Dutch international was then instrumental in the second before half-time, providing a sublime outside-of-the-boot cross for Neil El Aynaoui to stroke home and give Roma all three points and leapfrog Como – who have a game in hand – into fifth.
