Conor Benn gained revenge over Chris Eubank Jr in emphatic fashion.

After coming up short by unanimous decision in their first meeting back in April, Benn turned things around massively in the rematch, as the pair competed in front of a bumper crowd at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.

He dominated the action from the first bell until the last, with Eubank struggling to produce any real offense as the quicker, younger man continued to claim round after round.

The exclamation point was put on the performance in the final round, as Benn dropped his rival twice, with the final bell coming to save Eubank from a stoppage defeat.

In the end it was a straightforward unanimous decision victory for Benn though, as the three judges scored it 119-107, 116-110, 118-108 in his favour.

Another man who knows a thing or two about big British fights is former cruiserweight and heavyweight world champion David Haye, who was watching the contest live on Froch On Fighting, and he described Benn’s performance as ‘punch-perfect.’

“That couldn’t have been any more emphatic. It was a punch-perfect performance from Conor based on what Chris was doing. Great performance from Conor there. That’s as good as you can get without knocking someone out.”

Benn is now set to head back to his natural welterweight division and target a fight against one of the reigning world champions next, while Eubank Jr’s next move is a bit more up in the air, with many fans urging him to consider retirement following this latest performance.
