Netherlands opened their World Cup qualifying campaign in style with a comfortable 2-0 win in Finland tonight.

Memphis Depay and Denzel Dumfries were on target for the Orange, who are favourites to qualify from Group G alongside Poland.

Depay opened the scoring in the sixth minute after some slack play in the Finland defence and Dumfries doubled their advantage midway through the first half, firing high into the net after being picked out by Cody Gakpo.

Malta and Lithuania played out a goalless draw in the other group game tonight.

Kane wins it for disappointing England

It’s advantage England in Group K after Thomas Tuchel’s side claimed their third successive win to move clear at the top.

The Three Lions were a long way from their best but secured a 1-0 win against Andorra thanks to Harry Kane’s goal four minutes into the second half in Barcelona.

The highly charged clash between Albania and Serbia ended goalless.

    Dzeko sees off San Marino

Bosnia-Herzegovina also have a 100 per cent record in Group H after edging past San Marino 1-0.

Veteran striker Edin Dzeko scored midway through the second half for the hosts.

Austria are up and running after a 2-1 victory over Romania in Vienna.

Michael Gregoritsch and captain Marcel Sabitzer put Ralf Rangnick’s men in control although they did concede late on when Florin Tanase scored for the away side.
