Influencer Ulissias Marcelli and her boyfriend Vinícius Souza de Carvalho were reportedly shot to death ahead of a festival appearance in Brazil.
The alleged murders were announced by Brazil’s Festival Rock Gaya, as Marcelli and Carvalho were scheduled to appear at the festival prior to their deaths at ages 30 and 28, respectively. (Marcelli was expected to host Festival Rock Gaya festivities on Saturday, July 25.)
“We’re still trying to find the words for a moment like this. It’s hard to believe that someone who was about to share such a special moment with us is gone so soon,” the festival announced on Saturday, July 18. “At this moment, the entire team of the Rock Gaya Festival joins together in solidarity with the family, friends and everyone who has had the privilege of knowing it. Rest in peace Ulyssias.”
Per People and local outlets, civil police in Bahia, Brazil, confirmed that a farm worker found Marcelli and Souza de Carvalho’s bodies on a rural roadside in Porto Seguro on July 17. Gunshot wounds were reportedly visible on the late couple’s bodies.

Local outlet G1 reported that police suspect that Marcelli and Souza de Carvalho may have been held captive by their alleged killers before their murders. Investigators are looking into whether the alleged murders may be connected to drug trafficking and the sale of narcotics in the area.
Marcelli is survived by a 13-year-old son, according to G1. Her Instagram bio indicated that Marcelli was from the Porto Seguro area.
Marcelli grew a loyal fanbase of more than 20,000 Instagram followers with her ornate and elaborate styling and cosplay videos. She became known for an aesthetic that embraced gothic and modern horror elements.
She was also reportedly famous for her eye-catching live stage performances where she often incorporated fire into her choreographed routines.
Following news of her death, fans flooded Marcelli’s Instagram comments section to pay tribute to her life and legacy.
“Unfortunately, I only got to know this goddess after her demise. May Hekate keep her spirit with great glory,” a newer fan wrote in the comments section of Marcelli’s pinned Instagram post.
Another fan added, “May spirituality welcome you and your companion 😢 and take care of your child and kitten 😢 who’s going to pay!!! If you calm down, follow the light, everything will be alright.”
“Shocked, I really enjoyed seeing her posts, she was beautiful. God comforts the hearts,” a third fan wrote.
“I’m in disbelief 😭 ! One of my biggest inspirations, one of the most beautiful people I’ve ever seen. Rest in peace,” an admirer added in the comments section of another recent post.
