The spotlight will inevitably be on Manchester United boss Michael Carrick during Sunday’s Premier League clash with Bournemouth at Old Trafford.
Carrick is in desperate need of a win after a dismal start to the season, including a 4-1 defeat at Como in the Champions League on Wednesday.
Bournemouth arrive in a far better mood. Marco Rose’s side thrashed Milan 3-0 at home in the Europa League on Thursday night to make it three wins from three in Europe and have climbed out of the relegation zone to 15th.
The Cherries have six points from seven league games – one fewer than United – and have posed a problem for their opponents in recent seasons, with the last meeting between the sides ended in a 2-2 draw at the Vitality Stadium in March.
