The New York Yankees got back into the postseason in 2024 after finishing with a record of 94-68 and winning the American League East.

Not only did the Yankees return after missing the playoffs in 2023, they appeared in their first World Series since 2009, although they ended up losing to the Los Angeles Dodgers.

This offseason, the Yankees lost star outfielder Juan Soto as a free agent, but the team has made some notable acquisitions to make up for that.

Some of those include starting pitcher Max Fried, relief pitcher Devin Williams and outfielder Cody Bellinger.

The Yankees reportedly also have re-signed a veteran reliever.

“Yankees, LHP Tim Hill reportedly agree to deal, per multiple reports including MLB Network insider Jon Heyman,” MLB wrote on X.

Hill debuted in 2018 with the Kansas City Royals and has played for four teams in his seven-year MLB career.

In 2024 with the Chicago White Sox and the Yankees, Hill appeared in 62 games and was 4-0 with a 3.36 ERA and 31 strikeouts in 67.0 innings pitched.

The Yankees roster will look a lot different than it did in 2024 as Soto moved on to play for the New York Mets, but they hope their new players can make up for his production.

Hill was solid with the Yankees in 2024 as he had a 2.05 ERA in 35 games after joining the team.

The Yankees will look for Hill to continue his solid production as they try to win back-to-back AL East titles.
